Myrtle Taylor Linn, 85, a resident of Montgomery County most of her life, died Saturday night in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She had been critically ill the last three weeks. A daughter or W. A. and Melissa Todd Servies, she was born Aug. 31, 1885 at Advance. Her first marriage was to Walter C. Taylor on Nov. 26, 1906 at Browns Valley Baptist Church. He preceded her in death. She married Dr. Wallace T. Linn in May, 1947 at Lafayette. He is deceased. Mrs. Linn was a member of Browns Valley Baptist Church and Brown Township Home Demonstration Club. She lived on the same farm where she began housekeeping. Surviving are a son, Harold B. Taylor of West Lafayette; a daughter, Mrs. (DeElla) Robert Jackson of Alexandria, Va.; four grandchlldren, Dr. Philip T. Jackson of Los Angeles, John T. Taylor of St. Paul, Minn., Karl B. Taylor of Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y., and Mrs. (Nancy) Larry Grimes of New Market; a great-grandson, Daniel B. Taylor of Ithaca; a sister, Mrs. Blanche Wilkinson of Browns Valley; a brother, Orville Servies of Celina, Ohio, and nieces and nephews. A grandson, Walter W. Taylor, preceded her in death in 1967. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Browns Valley Baptist Church, where the body will lie in state for an hour beginning at 1 p.m. Revs. Tom Lucas and Raymond Skelton will officiate, with interment in Indian Creek Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Machledt and Servies Funeral Home in Waveland until noon Tuesday.
